Pausing my use of X 😟 Last drop is Musks meddling with UKs politics over misinformation riots. That comes on top of Trump and Russia support etc. The platform did not really become better as X and its owner has gone crazy.

BMWs with unauthorized Cheating Device Detected The German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) has discovered an unauthorised defeat device in older BMW diesel X3s. BMW is responding and recalling around 180,000 vehicles from the 2010 to 2014 model years to workshops worldwide. According to an ECJ ruling, the KBA classifies this device as unlawful, similar to the thermal window. BMW will replace the hot air mass sensor, the clean air pipe, and the EGR cooler including the valve in the affected vehicles. The control unit will also be reprogrammed. Why isn't BMW paying high fines to allow cheating devices, sitting and waiting until KBA detects them? Who knows how many BMWs still have cheating devices ?!

@clausmat1 På nuværende tidspunkt er det vel først og fremmest "færre ressourcer til fjenden" der tæller. Et velstandsfald er med til at skrue op for ustabilitet i Rusland og det giver regeringen andre ting at bekymre sig om.

Uanset hvad man mener om Kara-Murza og de øvriges udtalelser om at slække sanktionerne, så de ikke rammer almindelige russere viser de, at hvis man mente, at sanktioner på et tidspunkt vil få befolkningen til at vende sig mod regimet, så er det næppe tænkeligt.

A remarkable transition: Kenya is Africa's leading country when it comes to renewables. In 2000 fossil fuels contributed 60% to electricity generation. Today it is 6%. In 2023 electricity was from almost 50% geothermal, 20% wind+solar and 22% hydro. @EmberClimate
