@WomenBeingAwful Haha so if you don’t get married the house cleans itself, food magically appears, the elves take out the trash, and your laundry is done by the fairy? 😅

You kind of have to hand it to both Russia and China regarding their western focused propaganda efforts. They have won this battle. Yuri Bezmenov laid it all out beautifully almost 50yrs ago. And their efforts have been incredibly effective.

@KatieMiller @isabelleboemeke peak selfishness is having children because it brings the highest amount of joy... selflessness is an impossible notion as it requires the elimination of the self the problem is we're told children are a burden and that every other endeavor is superior to childrearing

@isabelleboemeke Peak selfishness is believing kids ruin your life. When reality the peak of selflessness is partaking in your children’s joy.

There’s a non-retarded version of the zero-introspection discourse that is quite insightful. The more time you spend ruminating about yourself, your problems, and your mental state, the more it drains your energy and makes you miserable. In Brazil we have a saying: “mente vazia, oficina do diabo,” which translates to “empty mind, devil’s workshop.” If the mind is not occupied by external things such as a hard problem or a big goal, it goes into me-me-me territory, and that’s usually bad. The holy grail of external focus with the highest meaning is having kids.

HAVING BABIES. You don’t have time to sit around throwing pity parties & ruminating all your problems when you’re tending to another persons needs. Also BABY GIGGLES, BABY SMELL, BABY EVERYTHING cure all 🩵

@NickJFreitas Also, in communism everyone works. You can't freeload (ex the people in charge ofc) nor be a parasite. In socialism you enslave half of the population to support the other half. You get to freeload and live a parasitic life while others pay for you. Worse of both worlds

Socialists are worse than communists. At least communists think they will eventually get to a stateless utopia where everyone owns everything in common. It’s childish and stupid, but at least they can claim a future world free from government coercion as their end state. Socialists are the mature communists who realized the utopia is impossible and accept that it will be the government, not “the people” who runs everything and they just want to make sure they are on the government side of the violence and coercion.

While the West poured billions into puppet states to secure markets, Mao Zedong mobilized hundreds of millions to build steel, irrigation systems, roads, and industry without relying on foreign aid, especially after the Sino-Soviet Split, recognizing that for socialism to survive, the people had to build it with their own hands.

@PetreSolheim @haugejostein You did see the politicians involved? yet you want to give politicians more power? Why/how do you think the Epstein crimes were allowed to happen? Happened because they're protected by the law, ie. government. You're confusing capitalism with cronyism

The idea that capitalism = freedom is a myth. Capitalism restricts freedom in countless ways. Under highly capitalist systems, basic needs are commodified. Freedom becomes paywalled. Rich people have freedom, poor people don't.
