I am curious, Why is that when you’re applying for a new job, that new job will ask if they can contact your old job if you were to become a finalist? Why would you alert someone’s current job that they’re on the market? What if you don’t end up hiring them? They are supposed to go back to their job with them now knowing that person is actively trying to leave? Is that not violent?
