The trailer hooked me and got me excited, hoping for a deep dive into the world of cybercrime, how these operations actually run, the sophisticated scams, the cat-and-mouse game with law enforcement.
Instead, the series spends most of its time following the personal lives, family dramas and emotional struggles of the criminals themselves.
The production looked polished, with good sound at least, just that the story was more like a character study of a desperate man pulled into fraud than an exposé on cybercrime I was expecting.
Lastly, Nigerians never disappoint when it comes to dragging storylines, this one stretches what could’ve been a tight, intense thriller into an 8-episode slow burn that tests your patience.
