Contemporary Christian Music in our services doesn’t just weaken true worship, it replaces it. At the same time, it promotes a style rooted in the very spirit we are called to separate from. When that same music is then highlighted and celebrated on social media, it exposes a contradiction between what is professed and what is practiced.

Started the bathroom addition for my new office today! One of our freshman @GreatPlainsBC students learned how to use a jackhammer. I think the jackhammer was bigger than him! 🤣🤣🤣

Jill Reeves and I had a wonderful time with our grandkids yesterday. We went to Perkins and, I must say, they made us look like pros! It turned into a very long wait for our food, but not one child cried, yelled, or acted a fool. I was proud of our adult children and the job they are doing teaching their kids how to behave, not just at home but in public as well. Good parenting shows, and yesterday it sure did. 😊

Some may accuse me of waging war against well known preachers and ministries. That simply is not true. I am not at war with men. I am at war with a system that is slowly replacing biblical Christianity with something softer, more worldly, and far less obedient to the Word of God. When standards fall, when separation disappears, when the authority of Scripture is quietly weakened, and when ministry becomes more about popularity than purity, someone ought to say something. Silence may preserve friendships, but it does not preserve truth. If that system is left untouched, Christianity will eventually look no different than any other religion that claims Christ while quietly subverting His Word. I will not be silent for the sake of comfort or acceptance. My loyalty is not to a preacher’s circle or a Baptist brotherhood. My loyalty is to Christ and His Word. If standing for the truth makes some uncomfortable, so be it. Truth has never depended on the approval of men.

Friendship must never be elevated above fundamentals. I am calling on preachers, pastors, and youth pastors to stop protecting relationships while ignoring compromise. Too many men remain quiet while worldliness is promoted in churches, colleges, and conferences. Some go even further and actually support it. Silence in the face of compromise is not loyalty. It is surrender. I will stand with the Bible over a Baptist brotherhood any day.

THINK 🤨 James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. It is unwise for pastors to allow youth pastors to promote friendships with the world. 🤦🏼‍♂️

PROMOTING DEVICES OVER DEDICATION PRODUCES DESTRUCTION. Gimmicks attract crowds. Dedication builds Christians. When ministry depends on devices instead of devotion, the result is always the same. Weak churches. Weak believers. Weak impact.
