@myworldtaw Can one drive across the border for a booster. Quebec is only giving boosters for 65 plus or immunocompromised. As a teacher, I do not qualify

@lesleychestrman Mr Picard also offered place to stay for free when needed and was beyond welcoming.. the experience is well worth the min plus tips. Stay, ask for a raise or leave with invaluable experience and get hired almost anywhere with the resto on your cv-negotiate salary then.

@lesleychestrman The experience at Cabane and the reputation allow all entry level cooks to rise quickly and be in demand at other restaurants. If I were not a high school cooking teacher, I would still be there. Much better than a higher salary at a lower class resto with horrible working cond.

@lesleychestrman I worked at the Cabane as a pastry cook under Gabrielle Rivard and Martin Picard. Compared to other restaurants this was the best kitchen I have ever worked in. Mr Picard is a consummate professional, most fun kitchen to work in and tips were split evenly amongst staff.

@lesleychestrman Sadly, this does not surprise me. I am a teacher and in contact with students less than 2 metres apart every day and we are 2nd to last on the list for vaccines. :(
