After moving across Canada for my undergraduate at Western, in hopes of pursuing a PhD, I’m excited to share that I have officially completed my PhD in Medical Biophysics✨ It’s been such a memorable 9 years, and I’m so thankful to everyone who has been a part of this chapter.📗

Seriously contemplating a clean shift from @Twitter to @psbasran@med-mastodon.com as i have reached an end to my tolerance. But i loathe to migrate or search my follows to that platform. So the question is whether theres a tool for this. Anyone?

@PatBaxter20 Rationale is to measure what uncovered portion of your body is exposed, such as lens of the eye, etc. pregnant rad workers are given a 2nd badge to wear underneath the apron near the abdomen. Hence, the annual limit for rad worker in US is 50 mSv, while in Europe is 20 mSv

I'm confused. Why do American workers get told to put their personal dosimeter badge on the outside of their leaded apron? It's never made sense to me. I don't care what i get to the surface of the apron. i wanna know what is getting to my vital organs. #radsafety

@nicoletranger We wear two badges. One under the apron on the torso, to get vital organ dose. One on the collar to get max possible thyroid and eye dose (with corrections)
