@jociewrites I saw a post yesterday that if you use Word, you can go to Properties and it will tell you how many edits have been done on a document and the amount of time spent on it. Also if you've emailed yourself older drafts, that's another way. ❤️

Note to writers: One of the advantages of using Word is Properties > Details, which lets you (at least partially) prove YOU wrote your work, not AI. Below you can see how many times I saved my chapter (305x), how long the doc was open for (almost 22hrs), and the dates of work.

Of course this happens when my husband's away. 🤦‍♀️ Managed to save the fence when it inevitably came crashing down into our yard. Bit of a bent pole and tears in the trampoline net - not too bad considering. But now I have a yard full of greenwaste to try and get rid of... 😡

So my neighbour cut a HUGE limb off their tree. It hit their shed roof. Rolled down. I discover my 8yo's trampoline is all that's holding it up. So I pointed out the damage it was doing and they just... left?! Said they were too tired! WTF?! My 19yo and I had to deal with it! 🤬

@NanribetCornel1 It is definitely a tough journey - I was not prepared for it. But as everyone says, it only takes one 'yes', so it's great that you're still putting your work out there! Keep going! It will happen one day and I'll be here, cheering you on! 🎉

@thewriterjo YES! 100% this! I've passed mine onto a CP and asked her to help identify the passive sentences as I just can't see them. I know we're supposed to start with our character first, but how many sentences in a row can you have starting with 'I' before it sounds like a 5yo wrote it?!

I have a writer confession to make. I am passive voice blind. Can't recognize it in my own writing, can't pick it out in someone else's. I objectively understand the concept of passive voice, but I wouldn't know it if it slapped me in the face. #writingcommunity

Pretty pastel biscuits going out to the cafes this week, with some Easter-themed ones in the mix. 🐇🐣 The donuts and icecreams will be donated to my son's ⚽️ club for them to sell at the next game. (And in doing so, will hopefully get me out of canteen duty... 🫣😂)

I have two beta readers reading right now. One is absolute gold!! She’s so kind and full of knowledge that I need. The other is a friend. And I’ll leave it at that lol

My 19yo finally has a girlfriend! 🎉 And she gave me a freaking bonsai tree! So now I'm stressed because I. Kill. Plants!! Not by choice, I just can't keep them alive! (Except for my succulents - they like me.) But don't bonsai trees need a lot of care?? Argh! The pressure! 😭

@PatJacobson101 I do the same thing 😭 he’s a chihuahua and his dad lived to like 20 years old so thank God for that. We had his parents and was there for the whole pregnancy and his mom birthed him in my bedroom. I’m so scared for his death. I can’t imagine how I’ll ever recover 😭

This beautiful girl will be 15 years old in June. 🥹❤️ She's had a big brush and claws trimmed, and now we're just chilling under her umbrella watching the birds. 🐦☀️
