Maggie & Jessa were our STARS of the Game over the past 3 games. Maggie continues to bring consistency on both ends of the floor and isn’t afraid of the physicality that comes with attacking the basket. Jessa posted a +31, shooting 53% from the floor and 9-16 from behind the arc.

@Gaardsy My daughter wrapped up her AAU basketball season in mid-July. Tryouts for next year have already started. I am fairly certain that she is the same player she was 13 days ago, but sure, here's my $30 try-out fee....

Of all the stupid things in youth sports perhaps the dumbest thing many sports do is having tryouts for teams in late summer that don’t start until next spring. Completely illogical.

According to the so-called experts Friday was the longest day of the year. But yesterday I had to pack my parents car for vacation and drive them 6 hours and I can without a doubt tell you that was the longest day of the year.

@PatKellyMN No, we’re back going to Door County. The 11 hour drive to Brookside was just too far for the Chicago dwelling members of the family. And it was too hard to get enough cabins there.

A team with great leadership wouldn’t let this happen in an elimination game. Is it coaching? Lack of player leadership? Some of both? I don’t know, but they got to figure this out or else the same thing happens next year. Can’t get punked in the biggest game of the year.
