@wmataGM Bus 4573 drove right past me at SB 14 and Randolph NW and the bus isn't close to full. This happens way too often. I shouldn't have to run into the street every time the bus comes by to ensure it stops. Stop treating bus riders as 2nd class customers.

@betsyjwolf @maustermuhle The irony was not lost on me for a second that they had Fenty whining at the Biltmore St crosswalk where a woman was killed by a driver just two years ago. These business owners don't care about human life. They only care about driver convenience.

@maustermuhle Would be useful to hear the perspectives from pedestrians (who are frequently hit by cars in crosswalks according to the article) instead of just business owners and drivers.

Two thoughts on this story: 1) The unsafe actions described in the story involve cars doing unsafe things. 2) It might be worth coming back to AdMo in 6-9 months to see how the new bike lanes have aged, and how people may have adjusted to them. wusa9.com/article/traffi…
