Is the absence of AN/TPY-2 upper-echelon high-res sensors a reason for systematic failure of 🇺🇸 Patriot missile defense? Are the one(s) left in the region not emitting to avoid their detection & targeting? ➡️ Its certainly possible Iran's hunt for them may have enabled all this

@emrah_elyas01 Of course its just one factor The PK against a Kheybar-Shekan-2 class missile is low anyway

@Titus_F_V Yes If they repair it, next time instead of drones, it may be hit with a ballistic missile

On the menu for Iran in this round? Convincing the U.S. that its bases are an liability ➡️ make them largely retreat from the region Their soft tact. airpower can be hit at will at this point Their systems capable to defend, THAAD & SM-3, are too rare and concentrated in 🇮🇱

Sounds like the US CENTCOM plans for tonight and the following few days might warrant a new name... All eyes on the skies 👀

What are the odds of renewed full-scale war? (🇺🇸🇮🇱 / 🇮🇷) Some requirements are so costly & short on supply that they alone would disincentivize it: - ~150 JASSM/Tomahawk every 2-3 days only to temporally damage tunnel entrances ➡️ Reduce missile firepower - ~20 high-end THAAD & SM-3 interceptors every day to protect high-value objects in Israel & Jordan ➡️ Maintaining tactical airpower sorties against Iran Now for how many weeks/months do the reserves last? How much is necessary to pose a minimum credible capability against China & North Korea? Most critically: How confident are 🇺🇸🇮🇱 in their capability to neutralize Iran's offensive firepower capabilities in the time window those remaining arsenals allows?

@Taha_sinjari Thanks Iran's firepower is suffcient for many months, if not more at the rate we saw in the last war

@Pataramesh I appreciate all your posts and probably have been the most accurate throughout this whole conflict, keep up the amazing work, One question though, for how long do you think iran can keep firing missiles or reach below critical levels, ofc america runs out faster but does iran?

Btw, no more MQ-4C Triton flight since Iran targeted its base in Jordan last week (Prince Hassan AB) Since - in my opinion - it's not deemed safe anymore, they were redployed to NAS Sigonella in Sicily, too far to serve as a base to operate mission over the Persian Gulf.

MenchOsint@MenchOsint

Ha! Callsign changed, the MQ-4C Triton is diverting to NAS Sigonella, Italy, not returning to Prince Hassan Air Base, Jordan. IRGC attacked unnamed US bases in Jordan overnight, possibly hit the base again ? One thing is sure, the US is not considering this base safe anymore. First they were redeployed from the UAE for the same reason, now from Jordan ... interesting development.

@Aviation_Intel Deliberate targeting choices by Iran PAC-3 performance against MRBM-class aeroballistics can be seen by everyone in the recent videos

It was only a matter of time. Amazing how well air defenses have done keeping the main airfield area from being touched until now. Scary stuff, a ton of tactical airpower packed on those ramps and lots of personnel there to support/operate it. Hopefully these areas were clear of personnel if they were indeed hit.
TheIntelFrog@TheIntelFrog

Ah fuck... The area targeted by an Iranian IRBM attack at Muwaffaq Al Salti AB, Jordan appears to be the troop billeting area. @Osinttechnical has confirmed via NASA FIRMS that these heat signatures appeared at approximately 0200L. x.com/Osinttechnical…

Sure, 2 Iranian missiles bypassing at least 10 Patriot PAC-3 looks impressive But truth is: the job of missile defenses is MUCH more difficult than the attacking missile's ➡️ PAC-3 was not designed to handle maneuvering glide vehicles maintaining terminal velocity of > Mach 6 1800km range Kheybar-Shekan-2 used at ~1200km provides the glider with excess velocity For anything beyond Mach 5 & maneuvering the PAC-3s kill probability shrinks drastically ➡️ Nevertheless, the PAC-3 is a very powerful interceptor... just not against the Kheybar-Shekan-2 Iran is efficiently draining U.S. stockpiles of this high-tech effector, using few, low lost missiles

Iran's Haj-Qassem has now become an Aero-Ballistic Missile What we see is likely Haj-Qassem-2 with the glide vehicle of the Kheybar-Shekan-2 ➡️ A natural evolution which increases range, but more importantly; evasion capability against missile defenses Almost immune to PAC-3
