Oh no. Youre confusing a metaphor as being literal. In a interview Kirkman said that making an animation is like building a factory. And that when covid happened, they had to rebuild that factory. As in, they had to shift everything to be work from home. It wasn't being literal. No one was fired, yet. That wouldn't come until Kirkman decided he wanted to make a team all by himself.

Nintendo was actually very accepting of the game because the N64 didn't have a ton of variety at the time. It was mostly racers or kid friendly 3d platformers. So Nintendo was onboard with a game focused more towards teens and adults. And because of that. Nintendo didn't really interfere with the game much. Only a few things got cut before release. Which were things that went just a bit too far for them.
But when you look at what all Microsoft made them censor in the remake, you'll see that Nintendo let them get away with a LOT.

That is not at all what happened. Season 1 was worked on during Covid, as everyone was working for home. When Amazon Greenlit season 2, Kirkman decided to, for some reason, create his own team instead of keeping the original team on board. And by doing do, he cut out 9/10th of the original teams man power. Its not the fact that he couldn't get those people back. Its that he refused to replace their positions, he cut them out entirely.

@Patbacknitro @calidosocam Kirkman didn't disband the crew tho, the whole factory got shutdown after season 1 because of COVID-19 and they had to rebuild all of the the shit again for season 2 and the result is season 2 stopped at episode 4 and half of them were released like months months later

Its funny because I think expanding on Dark Bloods whole ecosystem could've been a really great change. We know Invincible has hell, it has dark magic. Those never really got utilized in the comic beyond Dark Blood. But there's a lot of potential there for potential stories they could've done.
Like Dark Blood seeking help because Conquest was turning hell into his personal playground. Or Cecil could've made a deal to have demons help fight off the Viltrumites. Just something to expand on that lore.
