If the NHL had a 3-2-1 points system the Penguins would be in a *better* position than they are now. If it treated OT losses as 0 points and anything going beyond that as a tie, they would be in a *better* position. The "loser point" format is actually hurting them.

@HockeyyInsiderr @penguins @NJDevils The real loser point is the point gained from 3 on 3 or SO wins. Just call it a tie after regulation. Or go to a 3-2-1 point system.

The overtime/SO loss in the NHL is a funny rule. The @penguins have 16 loser points; 37 wins and 37 losses and will comfortably make the playoffs. The @NJDevils have 2 loser points ; 38 wins and 35 losses and have already been eliminated from playoff contention. The @GoldenKnights have 16 loser points; 33 wins and 42 losses and will comfortably make the playoffs. The @NHLBruins have 8 loser points ; 42 wins and 32 losses and currently in a dog fight to make the playoffs 50-50 chance. Is the @nhl REALLY putting the best product forward? Or is there a way to make the Stanley cup playoffs even MORE competitive?

@JoshYohe_PGH I don’t understand that the team going in to the Olympics looked like a defensive powerhouse. Now they look like this.

@CommoNole @CPyles8 But that’s the thing with wrestling unlike other sports is if a brick comes in asking for a review, it could be a minute long sequence. Reviews in wrestling will always be longer than other sports. I agree 5 minutes is too long but sometimes we are looking at crazy things.

@Patch_2951 @CPyles8 It’s a trade off. Pausing matches for 5, 6 minutes also affects the outcome. I’d prefer seeing the reviews short and used to correct blatantly bad calls. If you can’t see a singlet grab in 2 minutes, how bad can it be? I can see it both ways, but like to keep action going

@TheBrattPack63 Penguins are in almost every game they play. The Devils get blown out by any team with a pulse… if the NHL went to 5 on 5 continuous OT, the penguins would be leading the division.

@CommoNole @CPyles8 Even for illegal holds/singlet grabs? OOBs? Most people, especially the officials would rather give up 2-3 minutes and get the call right rather than only glossing over the play and upholding it only to get scorched later. What needs change is the process getting it to review rm.

@Patch_2951 @CPyles8 60 seconds may be wrong amount of time, but my general thought behind it is if you need to see it multiple times from multiple angles, let the call stand.

@anthony_Terliz @CPyles8 Interesting! Big screen out in the open? Even with multiple mats going? What slows down at the men’s is when the mat officials review themselves first and then it still gets sent to the back for independent review.

@Patch_2951 @CPyles8 Panel of judges that put the review on the big screen. They review it 2 maybe 3 times for a tough call. But they sr ready to go once the brick is tossed.

@CommoNole @CPyles8 Depending on the play, that’s not even enough time to watch the full sequence through 2 times. That doesn’t even account for multiple angles.

@CPyles8 Make reviews 60 seconds. If it isn’t clear in that time that the call was wrong then it stands.

@CPyles8 So I coach d3 men’s and NCAA Women’s.. I will say freestyle seems to have the system down much better. For the women’s I’m not sure if any challenge took more than 2 minutes. Whereas the men the challenges seem to take forever I think that part of it should be looked at first
