Dog Poisoned by the Diffuser Saturday night I got home late and my dog didn't recognize me. Being a nanny I thought I woke him up and he was having a night terror. Sunday, he was still acting weird. I realized that I had been running my new diffuser and decided to turn it off. Sunday afternoon, he was feeling better. Today at work, my dog sitter said that he wouldn't come out from under the bed. It was very odd as he is a happy dog. I came from work early and again, he was very confused about who I was. So I took him to emergency vet. It turns out that the tea tree oil I was using in the diffuser is toxic for dogs. Thankfully the test showed that his liver was ok but we weren't out of the woods yet. He was given fluids under his skin to get the toxins out. The vet and the poison control are saying that they see these cases often now that the popularity of essential oil is growing. Please make sure that the essential oils you are burning are not toxic for your pets. Earlier this year, an alumnus of Sydney boys’ school, Redfield College, threatened me online after our 4 Corners story, Purity. This week he faced court, pleaded guilty, & was given a 12-month bond. I hope it makes him reflect on his behaviour & he never threatens someone again.

@r_nd_rgh Have a disco during your school day- the kids don’t miss out then or the P and C run it after hours

@r_nd_rgh If staff attend, it becomes a school disco (even with only one staff member attending) - with all the responsibilities that go with it. If it is a P and C disco (with no staff attending) they are responsible.

This is 16 year old Snowie. Snowie was handed in as a stray in ƁD2, to a vets in Bradford. Through the microchip the owner was traced however when contacted it soon became evident that the owners didnt want him.

There seems to be (to me anyway) less teacher chatter across socials like Twitter, Facebook groups, Yammer/Viva Engage and all the various MS Teams. Or am I getting old and all the digital dialogue has moved onto Be Real, Snapchat or other? Or do we all have no time anymore?

Pleased to report that I finally received confirmation that this situation has been rectified. Teachers now receive an appropriately signed letter and separation tips. One person can make change.
