NEWS: The US scrambled a massive clandestine and fighting force to rescue the weapons systems operator who had to eject from the F-15E over southwest Iran last week, eventually sending more than 150 aircraft to find him, per sources.  More than 200 munitions were used. About 20 aircraft were dispatched to pick up the two-person crew of the F-15E Strike Eagle, call sign Dude 44, after it was hit by a surface-to-air missile. In the hours shortly after it went down just before 10 p.m. ET Thursday, the operation also included 12 fighter jets, five rescue planes and four aircraft meant to jam enemy communications and do intelligence and reconnaissance. Several teams in the region mobilized -- Navy SEALs, Air Force Special Operations, Army Special Operations Aviation, search and rescue, and combat medics.  The rescued pilot's callsign was Dude 44A. Looks like two MH-6 were included in the event in Iran. Debris shows two main rotors, these can’t be refuelled midair and need to be stowed in an aircraft. If that aircraft isn’t going anywhere, neither are the little birds.
