In March this year, our Alternative Care Pathways responded to over 1700 calls in total.

Part of the @AmbulanceNAS initiative to keep people out of hospitals where possible and provide Alternative Care Pathways. Waterford is part of this with the @PathfinderUHW team, Physios & Occupational Therapists from the @ot_uhw team @UHW_Waterford along with NAS AP’s.

Over 5,800 calls were referred to our Alternative Care Pathways (ACP) in January, with 40% of these avoiding a trip to the ED as a result. ACPs include Pathfinder, the Clinical Hub, Community Paramedics & more, and aim to support and treat people in their homes and communities.
