Week 9🧑🏻‍🔧 Our young people have been developing their technical abilities through hands on engine work🔧🚗 From understanding component functions to practising diagonsgic skills, they are gaining valuable industry experience that strengthens their skills! @Bosch_STB_LAGTA

Week 9 👷🏻‍♂️ This week, our young people attended First Steps Future Training, where they learned bricklaying and joinery skills 🧱🔨 This helps widen the choices they have for future employment! @FirstStepsFT

Week 8 This week our young people at childcare were working on their creativity skills while building The Gruffalo which are great skills for taking into a Nursery!🎨

Week 7🧱 A huge shoutout to our amazing young people who have been working along side @FirstStepsFT to transform the school grounds creating a brand-new outdoor classroom. Inspiring working that will be enjoyed for years to come! @OLHSMotherwell

Week 6👏🏻 Our Pathways team and colleagues from Supported Enterprise and Routes to Work are attending Growth Mindset training with Winning Scotland to support the learners we work with break down barriers and achieve their potential.

Week 5🚓 This week, our young people spent time with our Campus Cops learning about the dangers of knife crime and extortion. They explored just how serious these offences can be and picked up valuable tips on how to stay safe in different situations.

Week 4 Our young people attended @Bosch_STB_LAGTA they spent this week learning key mechanical skills, focusing on tyre checks and how to change them safety and correctly🚗🔧. They practiced using the tools, checking the pressure and spotting wear.

Week 4 This week, our young people attended @FirstStepsFT. They developed practical construction skills as they learned the basics of bricklaying. They were shown how to build steady level structures and lay bricks accurately. The group showed great focus and worked hard👷🏻🧱

Week 3 Last week our young people focused on food hygiene, safety and basic food preparation as part of their hospitality training. They learned how to work safely and confidently in the kitchen and then put their new skills into practice by baking brownies.🍫🧑🏻‍🍳

Week 3🧑🏻‍🎨🎉 This week, our young people in Childcare took part in hands on learning using Play-Doh. They developed their creativity while exploring a range of activities which can be used to support children's learning, development while engaging in a childcare role.

Week 2 This week our young people did their first week of training provisions, they started doing joinery and seem to be settling in very well while having new learning experiences🐕👷🏻‍♀️

Week 2😊 Last week our young people done some more team building skills and employability skills in preparation for starting training provision inductions. Good luck guys!🎉

Week 1🎉 This week our groups have been undertaking their inductions to the programme. The groups have been taking part in various team building activities to help build relationships, work on their communication skills and get to know on another.

Good news story🎉 Well done to Kara, Mandy and Rachel who have all secured college places for starting in January.

Good news story🎉 Our Pathways Hospitality Group delivered a fantastic breakfast service at NCL Cumbernauld🍳They also made and sold homemade dog biscuits, raising funds in support of guide dogs🦮 #NCL #Guidedogs

Week 15 This week we added the finishing touches, and the bungalow garden area is finally complete — all thanks to the fantastic support from First Steps. Our young people put their all into this project, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they’ve achieved! @FirstStepsFT

WEEK 14 This week at the College, our construction learners built T-joints as part of their practical training—developing key industry skills and preparing for future careers in the sector.

WEEK 14 Our good news story of this week is The Head Teacher from OLHS Motherwell, Louisa McGraw, visited the Bungalow today and was so impressed by the work done by First Steps and the Pathways Team! @FirstStepsFT @OLHSMotherwell

Week 13 This week, our young people have been focusing on developing their employability skills. Across all areas, they have been working on CV building and interview preparation to support them in achieving a positive destination upon completion of our programme.

Week 13 Our young people in Beauty successfully learned the skill of applying eyelashes, strengthening their patience and concentration while continuing to expand their practical beauty techniques.
