BREAKING: President Trump threatened to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine in order to pressure European allies militarily reopen the Strait of Hormuz, per FT.
Details include:
1. After Trump's request that NATO help reopen Hormuz was rejected Trump responded by threatening to stop supplies to PURL
2. PURL is NATO's weapons procurement initiative for Ukraine funded by European countries
3. As a result, a group of countries including France, Germany, and the UK issued a "hastily agreed statement" on March 19th
4. The statement said, "we express our readiness to contribute to appropriate efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz"
