“More power in the hands of ordinary Albertans. That’s the point of the citizens initiative law that we just introduced… A citizen initiative law allows citizens to force a referendum vote on an important issue if it’s being ignored by your elected representatives, by parties…. They can force a referendum vote on an amendment to the Canadian constitution. Putting Albertans ultimately in the democratic drivers seat… This is something I committed to… Part of that fair deal means giving Albertans the ultimate say on big issues like this. Another promise made, another promise kept.” @jkenney and @shandro, does this little refresher video answer your nonsense questions today about why people are using the very laws your government introduced to “force a referendum vote on an important issue if it’s being ignored by your elected representatives, by parties”? How about respecting the promise you made to put Albertans in the democratic driver’s seat, and maybe taking a backseat yourselves?
Jason Kenney 🇨🇦🇺🇦🇮🇱@jkenney

We have introduced the Citizen Initiative Act to put Albertans in the driver's seat of our democracy. Following the last federal election, I committed to doing everything within our power to fight for a fair deal for Alberta, and to give Albertans a bigger say over major issues.

FN chiefs are against Alberta separatism because Canada is the golden goose for them. They profit handsomely from the grift with Ottawa while their own people live in squalor. Very sad.

78 years ago today, in 1948, just one day after Israel declared independence, five Arab armies invaded to destroy the young state of Israel. The Jews won that war against five armies. God is with Israel.

This Muslim scholar and expert on Islamic law explains a ruling defending Muslim fathers who rape their own daughters. He explains the side of the fathers as the main victims of the seductive and manipulative behavior of the young girls. Under this Islamic logic, the daughters are held accountable for provoking and forcing their fathers to rape them when they fail to follow Islam’s modesty rules—for example, by wearing tight clothes or staying alone in a room with the father when the mother is absent. Not all cultures are equal. What is your reaction to this Islamic “justice”?

Not only does the money get transferred out of Alberta, the very people benefitting from the cash then turn their nose up at Albertans and trash talk Alberta for political gain. We have all watched it happen. The REFORM movement in the 90s started in Western Provinces fed up with the leeches in Quebec and Ottawa. Sadly Stephen Harper stabbed everyone in the back when he revamped "equalization" in a bid to get votes in Quebec. His Quebec support didn't last and he lost support, especially in BC. Which led to Justin Trudeau.
Rise Of Alberta@RiseOfAlberta

Danielle Smith called out the truth. Alberta’s wealth has been drained for decades to fund provinces that vote against our interests. We are not a province in a fair federation. We are the ATM.

Elon just endorsed it. Gad Saad dropped the hammer on Fox this morning. We now live in a world where: - Rape victims get less sympathy than their rapists - Homeowners get less than the squatters breaking in - American vets get less than illegal migrants - Repeat felons with 186 charges get 200 more “chances” because “society made them do it” This isn’t kindness. This is suicidal empathy. Universities spent decades teaching our judges, leaders, and elites that personal agency is a myth if you check the right oppression boxes. So criminals become victims, victims become bigots for complaining, and the whole system rots from the inside.

‼️MAJOR BREAKING: This has exploded open! A NEW full list of tech companies speaking out against Carney's bill C-22, with many threatening to EXIT Canada entirely. Some are CANADIAN companies! 👇🏼👇🏼 Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp): Opposes Part 2, warning it could force backdoors or spyware installation. Testified before Parliament. The bill would “conscript private companies into service as an arm of the government surveillance apparatus.” Apple: publicly warned the bill could force encryption backdoors and undermine device security. Quote: “This legislation could allow the Canadian government to force companies to break encryption by inserting backdoors into their products—something Apple will never do.” Windscribe (Canadian VPN provider): Joins Signal and threatens to relocate its headquarters or follow suit. Quote: “We won’t be far behind if C-22 passes. In its current state, VPNs would almost certainly require us to log identifying user data. Shopify CEO Tobi Lütke: Vocal Canadian tech leader warning of broader economic damage. Quotes (on X): “C-22 is looking like a huge mistake. It worries me a great deal. There is so much nonsense in there that it may well end up dealing a death blow to Canadian tech viability.” Signal: VP Udbhav Tiwari said they would rather pull out of Canada entirely than compromise end-to-end encryption and privacy promises to users. NordVPN: Warned they would "remove our presence from Canadian jurisdiction" before complying, to protect their no-logs policy and encryption. The Chair of the the US House Judiciary Committee and Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee are now also investigating.

Montagu Norman was the most powerful central banker of the early 20th century. In a 1924 speech to the United States Bankers Association, he said: “By dividing the voter through the political party system, we can get them to expend their energies in fighting for questions of no importance.” 100 years later, people are still trapped in the same left-vs-right divide while the State keeps expanding.

‼️ BREAKING Liberals are building a surveillance system that the US, Germany & EU have all explicitly rejected. The two countries that have this: CHINA & RUSSIA Carney wants surveillance on every Canadian. Not just suspects. Every call. Every text. Every location ping. Who you called. When. How long. Where you were. NO SUSPICION OR INVESTIGATION REQUIRED. Reconstructed into a complete map of your movements. No other Western democracy has powers this broad. The EU Court of Justice struck down an identical law as unconstitutional in 2014. Germany abandoned blanket retention entirely. Signal said they’d leave Canada rather than comply. Meta called it conscripting companies into “the government’s surveillance apparatus.” US Congress members wrote directly to Ottawa warning it compromises American citizens. Canada’s own Privacy Commissioner has zero oversight role in this bill. The EU was right to strike this down. It’s a violation of human rights.

Does this sound like a good deal or extortion? Before Alberta is *allowed* to export it's oil overseas, create thousands of jobs, and billions for the economy, they must first agree to: > increase in industrial carbon tax > net zero targets > methane regulations > Pathways Project or no pipeline "Do as I say or you don't get to make a living." Sounds more like authoritarianism than cooperative federalism.

What are the top 3 countries flooding the ocean with plastic? - Malaysia dumps 73,000 metric tons a year. - India cranks out over 126,000 a year. - And the Philippines? A jaw-dropping 356,000 metric tons - every single year. And no, your soggy paper straw isn’t fixing any of it. While rivers vomit city waste straight into the sea by the hundreds of thousands of tons, you’re out there sipping sad lattes through limp cardboard like it’s saving the planet.
