@Patrick0x934 @stanlee0nX IMO: The tool is as powerful as the wielder. Someone using php can write a better and faster application than someone using rust/Java/c# with a feeble knowledge of it

You get some of the best advice from people who haven’t made it yet, but most people don’t take them seriously because they have no results to show for it. The reality is that lack of courage has kept more people poor than lack of ideas

@im_mert_ Only a few of their micro services uses it. At some point Twitter used it too, then switch to Rust. It's like php, ruby, and the likes not the tech you would find in core businesses logic, it's a framework for rapid mvp development and cheap hosting. Only startup use it.

@Patrick0x934 NodeJS is a JS runtime environment, actively used for tools, backend and APIs. Netflix, LinkedIn, PayPal, Uber and Nasa still use NodeJS (according to geeksforgeeks [7th April 2026] (geeksforgeeks.org/node-js/compan…)) And even if they weren't using it, its still a good thing to learn.

Node js is not a programming language, it's not even a language used in big tech. Learn Java, C# or C++

Big businesses don't care about junior frontend developers, look at your local companies website design. Remita, NYSC, Old Paystack. In big tech, Google, Amazon. How many times do they revamp their UI a year

@BolooEmmanuel @stanlee0nX We never said it's a bad tool but it's not the way languages like Java and C# are structured, which are far more better than it.

@Patrick0x934 @stanlee0nX Python is actually the most fancy c++ wrapper I know 😂 Node JS use libc(c++\c) for handling I/O, Async tasks. That’s enough to make it fast for those tasks This doesn’t make NodeJS a bad tool for backend development

@OsiriMang A junior Java backend developer or framer developer is guaranteed to get a job while a common junior frontend engineer is still struggling. U think it's by writing react? 😂

@Patrick0x934 If frontend is dead, why are companies still hiring React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, and UI engineers? AI can generate code, but someone still needs to architect, review, debug, optimize, secure, and maintain what AI produces.
