It’s pissed rain for 9 months solid. Because i dared question their position on immigration and the host of problems related to it , specifically who gets the houses.... they cant answer

The final tally for Galway West showing the stark rural/urban divide in the county. That divide undeniably in large related to immigration. Labour have an African candidate and that's pretty much the sum of their pitch. Independent Ireland's candidate stood with his constituency against the forced IPAS centre in Roscahill and had his home raided for his efforts. Thomas then stood with the hauliers and farmers in their fuel protests. Old Ireland Vs New Ireland.

It’s very significant that for the first time, there is no Fine Gael or Fianna Fáil TD in Dublin Central and is a real sign of the possibility for the first time of a government without them. Sinn Féin will continue to lead the opposition, to hold this government to account and to stand up everyday for workers, families and communities. We want to thank everyone who voted for Janice Boylan and Mark Lohan and everyone who worked on our campaigns.

The big showing for Thomas in Galway West - a former FFer who stood with his constituents against IPAS centres and with the hauliers in their protests show what might have been for Fianna Fail. Micheal Martin seems to be content to see his party shrivel up and slowly die rather than take a firm position on migration and domestic industrial growth. What is unfathomable is that FF backbenchers seem content to go down with the ship and with Martin as captain. After surviving several leadership disasters this year, it is unlikely there will be any significant heave from the back benches tonight and Martin is a dog in a manger, he won't go of his own volition. A very strange decline for a party that once ruled dominantly.
