@JunruWu43810 @AriA1exander I agree, and I’m sort of a Walker sympathizer in the sense that his numbers were fine big picture. Of course wanted a little more, but with Yordan only playing 40 something games Walker needed to be an absolute dude and he wasn’t.

@AriA1exander Someone else has mentioned it, but could this be a salary swap and the Astros take on the remainder of Senga’s contract? Loosely followed Mets last year and know he was down in minors but unsure how serious the injury stuff is.

They have the unlimited resources to just eat the money on his remaining salary and a deal wouldn't take any of their big prospects. Walker is a good defender and had a good 2nd half of 2025. The Astros also have a logjam in the infield.
