CHRONOVISOR (Kevin Walker & Jack Auen, 2026) The best film at IFFR this year, a major American independent film that’ll go down as one of the most memorable debuts of 2026. An Umberto Eco-inspired mystery whose use of text recalls David Gatten and Michael Snow’s SO IS THIS.

The racist Karen in Walthamstow…Here’s what happened… According to @axe.ember_smokehouse on Instagram: Disturbing footage has been circulating online showing overt racist abuse directed at one of the owners of @axe.ember_smokehouse, a small, family-run business, last night. A customer, @itsjimmyofficial (also on Instagram), intervened to de-escalate the situation and was subsequently subjected to both verbal and physical abuse himself. Credit to @itsjimmyofficial for stepping up and doing the right thing. The incident is now being handled through the proper legal channels, and those targeted by the abuse have asked the public to allow the judicial process to proceed without interference.
