I think “you can’t sell a player just to sell a player” is actually sorta flawed thinking, and I’m seeing it a lot. Sometimes timing is more important than getting equal value. If you can’t make rent but you have a $40,000 car and someone offers you $32,000… you gotta take it

The thing you have to remember is the rangers lucked into two lottery picks, had two superstar players say they only want to play here, and had a bunch of good talent left over from the previous regime and the current GM just absolutely tore it apart with no plan.
