@unusual_whales In a ~15 year cycle of quantitative easing, bail outs, historic low internet rates, pandemic packages, everyone makes money in equities, no sense in paying someone active. 2022 fed policy will start to cycle back to active over passive.

Elon Musk has said: There should be a shift back towards active investment. Passive has gone too far. (Do you agree?)

@jps337 @joelklatt @Doc_Texas I agree with you on high standards. We might disagree on what those high standards are. Take, for example, Bonds vs Ortiz, a perfect case study. Let’s ranks their stats along with morals, values, ethics, & integrity and then tell me ,as a voter, your case for one over the other.

The Baseball HOF is no longer a HOF...It is a club and the gatekeepers are absurd!

@JaketheSooner @joelklatt A lot of the guys trying to make the roster/start were using steroids to gain an edge, this wasn’t solely a top of the roster issue. The biggest fall out from this era is guys like (example) Fred McGriff who have clean HOF #’s but don’t compare to their peers in the same decade.

@Tojo1983 @joelklatt To clarify my point, I think he probably used PED’s but never tested positive. The 1 guy who just went in tested positive for PED use. I would love to hear the voters navigate this one but either way it shouldn’t matter.

@Bama45242 @joelklatt Let’s agree that Bonds used steroids and it’s extremely obvious about when that happened. He was already a 400/400 club member and 3x MVP. That alone gets him in. The commissioner who encouraged and concealed the steroid era is in the HoF. Ortiz actually tested positive.

@jps337 @joelklatt @Doc_Texas If you wanna take that position, I wouldn’t dig too deep on the guys in the room vs the guys not in the HOF. Might not like what you find. Also, this enshrinement is about performance and the objectivity of statistics. It’s agnostic, or should be to off the field issues.
