#Shap had many ancient tracks converging on the village. We are left with several old packhorse bridges where they crossed a beck. Parish Crag bridge is one of the best. #Cumbria

The tree sparrow - for #WorldWildlifeDay So lucky to have a small but successful population in my garden. Spent some time learning about these lovely little birds - under threat from all sides it seems. Found a feeder they will use (3 on as I write) nest boxes etc. #Cumbria
