Credit Bank has sued Moses Kuria over a Sh72.1 million debt. According to court documents, Kuria, through his company Smith & Gold Productions Limited, took: - A Sh10M facility in Sept 2019 - fully repaid - A Sh20M facility in Dec 2019 - later went into arrears The debt was then restructured in Dec 2022 into a Sh40.9M term loan payable over 5 years at about Sh932K monthly. The loans were secured using: - Personal guarantees - Corporate guarantee - Bomet University College undertakings - Planned Sh5M proceeds from Karatu Stadium The bank claims the defendants defaulted despite repeated demands. Court documents say the debt rose from about Sh59.7M in May 2024 to Sh72.1M by Sept 2025 due to 13% interest plus penalties. A final demand was allegedly ignored. Kuria has also faced past loan recovery issues before, including with Equity Bank. This may partly explain his recent aggressive defence of the President in Mt Kenya. My opinion: financial pressure changes political behaviour. When survival is at stake, loyalty becomes louder. Tough times ahead for the guy

John Mbadi has now resorted to selling fear to Kenyans. He claims that if Kenya abandons the G-to-G fuel deal, the country could run out of fuel because nations without “dedicated suppliers” face shortages. That is simply false. Tanzania has no G-to-G fuel deal. Yet Tanzanians still buy fuel every day. Many other countries import fuel without locking citizens into opaque arrangements that enrich a few connected individuals. Kenyans are being blackmailed into believing there is only one way to import fuel. No. There is competition. There are open markets. There is transparency. The painful truth is this: G-to-G has become a channel for a few people to make billions while ordinary Kenyans pay some of the highest fuel costs in the region. And every extra shilling on fuel means: Higher food prices. Higher transport costs. Higher cost of living. We are not stupid.

To put that into perspective: 🇬🇧 Emirates Stadium (England) 60,704 seats — Ksh 68B 🇨🇮 Stade Alassane Ouattara (Ivory Coast) 60,000 seats — Ksh 33.1B 🇪🇸 Estadio La Cartuja (Spain) 70,000 seats — Ksh 23.5B 🇲🇦 Hassan II Stadium (Morocco) 115,000 seats — Ksh 64.5B 🇲🇦 Ibn Battouta Stadium (Morocco) 60,000 seats — Ksh 13.9B 🇨🇩 Stade des Martyrs (DRC) 80,000 seats — Ksh 5.9B So why is Kenya paying almost 100 BILLION for a stadium smaller than some of these? For the price of ONE Talanta Stadium, other countries are building 2 or even 3 world-class stadiums. And we are expected to clap instead of asking questions. This country is being looted in broad daylight. It might look good, beautiful, but we also need to point out the robbery and stop the robbers.
