Do you know why every time I make a huge profit or grow an account to $500K–$1M, I reset it back to $20K and take a 2–3 day break?
Because we’re all human.
No matter how experienced you are, winning big changes your psychology.
The more you win, the easier it becomes to ignore risk. Your confidence grows, your emotions get louder, and your judgment slowly becomes distorted.
That’s when most traders give everything back.
Resetting to a small account forces me to respect the market again. Taking a short break gives my emotions time to return to normal.
I don’t just protect my capital.
I protect my mindset.
In trading, your biggest enemy isn’t the market.
It’s the version of yourself that believes you can’t lose.

I lost $13.5M in less than 60 days. My PnL went from $20M to $6.5M The same risks that made me millions... Are the same risks that made me lose millions. I saw this coming, yet I still couldn't stop myself. The more I won, the more my perception of risk became distorted. At some point, I wasn't chasing money anymore. I was chasing the feeling. The hardest part to explain is that your brain doesn't care you're still up overall. It fixates on what you've lost. Those losses feel just as real. That's where the spiral begins. Deep down, I know exactly how this story ends if I stay on this path. I'll lose everything I've built. This is the darkest path I've ever been on. The constant swings have broken me mentally. But I refuse to let my own mind defeat me.
