Today, i attended the launch of @PoliceUg's five year strategic plan at police headquarters. DIG was the chief guest.

The UPF and sister security agencies have been very tolerant and continuously engaged political actors to conduct their political activities in accordance with the relevant laws and guidelines. Some actors have deliberately refused to comply.

We have put our personnel on a high level of alert to detect crime and avert potential threats. We equally urge the population to team up with security forces in ensuring safe neighborhoods. The following are our telephone contacts in the event of emergencies and incidents that require our response. These telephone contacts are available 24hrs a day, seven days a week:

On the night of November 23, 2025, around 10:25 PM, a murder incident occurred in Ntawo cell, Mukono Central Division, Mukono municipality. ASP Bagenda Emmanuel, Officer in Charge of Ntawo Police Post, along with a police constable pursued suspected armed robbers following a report of armed robbery in Kiwala village. When they attempted to stop a suspicious motorcycle, the occupants opened fire, fatally wounding ASP Bagenda Emmanuel. The police constable was also injured but survived and was transferred to the hospital. The assailants also robbed an AK 47 riffle from the police officers. Uganda Police Force is pursuing the assailants, who will be brought to justice once apprehended.

@AlienSkinUg, the Ugandan musician, hasn't been arrested. Security personnel did visit his home on Friday for further inquiries, but he wasn't there, reportedly because he's been hiding. Therefore, he can not be taken to court before being arrested/summoned.

Police in Old Kampala have arrested Nsubuga Isaac, a 30-yr-old resident of Lubya, for allegedly defacing President Yoweri Museveni's campaign posters in Lubya Parish, Rubaga Division.Nsubuga was arrested, and some of the defaced posters were recovered from him.@PoliceUg

@PoliceUg have arrested three suspects, Turyatunga Frugence, Muhozi Denis, & Tindyebwa Daudi, in connection with the torture of Princess Kyampeire over allegations of stealing an phone& money from Anita Kwarisima. The suspects appeared in a video torturing the victim.
