We have requested the immediate termination of the Article 7 procedure against Hungary. It is clear now to everyone that the unprecedented political attacks over the past decade, disguised as rule of law concerns, were not based on facts about Hungarian democracy, but on false political narratives and ideological bias. We are also calling for the immediate release of all withheld EU funds to Hungary, as well as the suspension of the daily 1 million EUR migration fine.

🗣️ | @J_Bardella 🇫🇷: “All French people, and more broadly all Europeans, are entitled to this information, which has been overlooked in the public debate. From 2028 onwards, therefore, following a decision taken here by the European Union, you will pay an additional 15 euro cents in fuel tax. One must therefore be completely out of touch to impose such a tax against a backdrop of rising energy costs and to accept, without protest, its harmful consequences for Europe’s most vulnerable families.”

🗣️ | @J_Bardella 🇫🇷: “This is particularly the case with the CBAM, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism – in other words, the carbon tax – which increases the cost of imported fertilisers, even though the European Union imports more than 60% of the inputs essential to agriculture. We naturally support the farmers who are, at this very moment, demonstrating outside the European Parliament on this issue.”

🚨 | The European Parliament has become a theatre of self-congratulation while Europe burns. War at our borders. Runaway inflation. An energy crisis. Migration chaos. Rising insecurity. And what do the Brussels elites do? They hand out medals to the very architects of Europe’s decline.

Congratulations to @SusannaCeccardi on being elected Vice President of the @PatriotsEP at today’s group meeting.

The @PatriotsEP did not take part in the European Order of Merit ceremony. We reject such initiatives on principled grounds. Awards of this kind should remain a competence of the Member States, not become tools for promoting a European superstate.   Meanwhile, the European Parliament itself fails to respect democratic values, as the Patriots — despite being the third largest political group — are still excluded from several key decision-making processes within the EP.
