@Savageboston I feel like this staff thought what everyone else was thinking. This draft class wasn’t the best. So in their eyes it was more of a let’s make sure we get our 3 big needs in the first 3 rounds, then down the board just potential swings regardless of consensus value.

The Prunty pick feels like a reach but I like the top 3. Could’ve picked up an interior D tackle and a good guard if they held onto one of their 4th rounders.

They needed an edge and Jacas was a good pick. Was close to Eli Stowers, who I wanted.

@RealAlexBarth Vrabel won’t be in the draft room day three. Patriots trading up twice. Something tells me another trade up using day three picks is in play.

I like Jacas and am fine with the pick. Felt like they had to make the move

Also seeing now that the Eagles got Eli Stowers at 54. I think the Patriots wanted him. Feels like they traded up to get an edge rusher that they valued. This doesn’t feel very “BPA” but more based on need. Hope it doesn’t backfire.

@Bringbacbobby @Savageboston Vrabel won’t be in the draft room saturday, so I was thinking that the Patriots might be fine with giving up those picks since Vrabel won’t be in the room for them anyway. It will be very telling if they trade up again in the third round
