🇧🇪 Belgium just convicted Dries Van Langenhove for “hate speech” because he linked mass migration to crime and social decline during a university lecture using statistics and scientific sources. The judge openly admitted the facts themselves were not false. That’s the terrifying part. The ruling basically says you can still be punished even when what you say is true, if the government decides your framing is politically unacceptable. We are British. We are gentlemen and ladies. We say please and thank you. We hold the door open for the person behind us. We say thank you when somebody shows us a courtesy or a kindness. We can be trusted at an “Honesty Box” where our neighbour might be selling their eggs, veg, or honey. Our society was perfect until we allowed unfettered immigration from 3rd-World, low-trust societies. Suddenly, all of the above becomes meaningless. But it still means something to me. Manners. Kindness. Respect. Fairness. This is the Britain I know.
