Whether it’s Iran or Lebanon, for these countries to escape the Islamic dominance and build peace with Israel is a threat to countries like Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Both countries have the potential to truly thrive, and I’m not talking about economic growth driven by oil. I’m talking about real freedom and real progress, like Israel. If that happens, countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia become irrelevant, because Lebanon and Iran would look more like Israel: real allies of the West, with alliances built on shared values, not just shared interests. Just look at how the UAE is treated by Iran and Saudi Arabia. Even though it is an Islamic country, the wisdom of its leadership to embrace Western values, make peace with Israel, and become a genuine ally of the West has set it apart. It has positioned itself as a serious partner in progress, not just a country to be financially exploited in exchange for protection. That is why Saudi Arabia and Egypt doesn't want Lebanon to pursue peace with Israel.
