While many students are taking time to rest and recharge, I know many teachers and education workers continue planning, preparing, and supporting our schools. Thank you for the dedication you show to Ontario’s students every day.

We continue to invest in educators, including the new $750 support for every Ontario teacher beginning September 2026. Our goal is simple: strong school boards, supported teachers, and better outcomes for students.

This morning was a big moment for our community as we cut the ribbon on the new Mon Sheong Dr. Paul Woo Long Term Care Home with 224 new beds right here in Stouffvile. Keeping care closer to home for the people who helped build our town.

Starting this September, we’re sending elementary homeroom teachers across Ontario a $750 annual Classroom Supplies Card to help buy supplementary classroom supplies they need to help students succeed. We’ve sent a new survey to teachers across the province to hear from them about which supplies they would like to see available through this new fund. It was a pleasure to meet with the Consul General of Ukraine and Executive Director of the Canada-Ukraine Foundation today. Starting this September, Ontario Grade 10 students will learn about the Holodomor famine in Ukraine. Education ensures we remember and learn from the past. @MFA_Ukraine

I was thrilled to stop by and congratulate Don Cherry in person on his appointment to the Order of Ontario. Don is a great Canadian patriot and a champion for our country, our province and the game of hockey. Congratulations!

Student achievement must always come first. While there has been progress, too many students in Ontario are still not meeting provincial standards.

Last week, I had the opportunity to tour Regina Mundi College Secondary School in London, Ontario, currently under construction, alongside the talented students of the Construction Academy. It was great to see firsthand how these upgraded facilities, including technology-enabled classrooms and specialized learning spaces, are preparing students for the future.

This week, I had the opportunity to tour the new White Pine Public School in London, Ontario. This state-of-the-art, modernized school is a great example of how we’re building the spaces students need to learn, grow, and thrive. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us and for the tour.

Today our government unveiled the final design for the new state-of-the-art Ontario Science Centre. Once complete, the new facility will support student achievement by giving them hands-on opportunities to learn, explore, and build real-world skills.
