Basketball Ireland’s Youth Leadership course continued this weekend. The group completed their introduction to coaching course with instructor Gavin Garland and finished their module 1 Foroige ‘Leadership for Life’ course facilitated by Darren McGovern and Paul Kelleher.

Another great example of the work being done by our development officers to create new clubs around the island of Ireland. It was a real pleasure to visit this club and see the work they are doing. @CreatovationIrl

Growing up playing for @SwordsBball I asked the chairman would there ever be a Thunder Women’s team. He said No. To be commentating on the game, see former members in the crowd and win was so special. What a turnaround for this team, with 2 trophies and 2 finals in 2024!
