We just landed our first customer with my new project, Deepvine. We are building AI workflows on hardware our customers own, starting with a knowledge base connected to the data that matters most. My good friend @pahennxyz planted the seed of local/open models a couple of years ago, and I’ve been more convinced with every passing month. I thought it was just a nerdy obsession of mine, but then we started talking to local businesses and the local, private, sovereign AI pitch has been landing. Surprisingly, the boomer generation seems to be more interested in private AI, where younger business owners question why they wouldn’t just use Claude or GPT. As more big names in tech start preaching the benefits of AI sovereignty, it feels like the timing is right. The hype cycle fatigue is real, and people want solutions not more empty promises and surprise token bills. They want to adopt AI but they see that it’s short to proof of concept and long to consistent results. Solving problems with AI is a skill, and most business owners don’t have the expertise or time. That’s where we come in. Customer one does not mean successful business but it is the first step towards that. Excited to see where this goes.

@realEstateTrent I couldn’t agree more. It seems like not having slides forces speakers to really nail their presentation/talking points. From my experience not as a presenter but as an audience member.

I’ve done a ton of presentations on strip malls and our business in many different settings, and never use slides - those kill the vibe

@realEstateTrent Just an anecdotal data point, but I’m admittedly very surprised by your experience: I spent 8 years as a real estate lawyer at Goodwin Procter. I saw OOOs all the time, plenty from some of the best real estate lawyers in the world.

I’ve never known a highly successful person who uses an auto-away email.
