When people make comparisons with what went on in Germany in the 1930s, I refer to these words from the Auschwitz Museum to judge if there is some truth in their claim.
Auschwitz Memorial@AuschwitzMuseum

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers. This hatred gradually developed from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence. It took time. #GenocidePreventionDay

@theAliceRoberts Really interesting @theAliceRoberts - I suspect I've been thinking about this wrong - given we talk about levels of virulence, I hoped we might see some kind of regression to the mean. Wishful thinking on my part!

Evolution. It's not as predictable as you'd like it to be. "There is no general evolutionary law for predicting how these relationships will pan out, and certainly no justification for evoking the inevitability of decreased virulence" theconversation.com/will-coronavir…

@PaulFrithMusic I suspect I account for a signficant proportion of those plays. I keep that track on repeat some days. For hours. Still a very impressive milestone.

@michael__price Yeah, but it's Aesop... Can't help myself - I admit it is a ludicrous unaffordable habit, but at least I smell great!!!

Am walking past lots of newly-reopened design-y shops with expensive things I might once have fancied buying. Somehow after a year of not doing that, the spell seems to be broken, and it just seems terribly daft to spend that much on shower gel (*cough Aesop). How is it 4 u?

@PaulFrithMusic @bearsdenmusic @michael__price I just cannot get enough of fragments, I especially love the arrangement of napoleon, it totally takes me away from everything, I get lost in the beauty of it. Thank you so much for sharing it with the world.

Soooo kind of you for remembering my bday (he said reminding everyone it was his bday). As if it were your bday, we will have some exciting developments coming your way. Al is already struggling to sleep & he’s the best sleeper I know.

@joshweller Indeed he did, sadly Christopher Ballew actually died in 2001 from cardiac arrest which (according to wikipedia) was bought on by an over indulgence in peaches following his move to the country in 1997...
