@CressidaCowell I have a request from my autistic 11 year old son, who has read 3 chapters from HTTYD 12 books every night for the last 3 years. He really wants you to write a 13th book in the series! Thank you!!

THIS IS LEADERSHIP! The Royal College of Edinburgh have stated they are deeply concerned that PAs have: 🚨 No defined scope 🚨 No ceiling of practice 🚨 No guidance on supervision They advise: ✅ ***GMC does NOT take over regulation*** until clear nationally agreed scope & ceiling of practice are in place ✅ ***Suspension of any further recruitment or deployment of PAs*** in the NHS in all four nations 👏 👏👏

Has the NHS gone mad?! A PA in breast surgery: 🚨Their funding DIRECTLY FROM a middle grade doctor position 🚨 They have: NO medical degree NO formal post graduate surgical training In their own words they only had “general basic knowledge” 🚨 The plan is for the PA themselves to go on to mentor & train “junior PAs” 🚨 Their current role: • 50% theatre time • Assess new breast cancer patients • Triage GP referrals • Interventional techniques e.g. draining sermons which is *beyond the training of breast care nurses* Has the trust forgotten that PAs only do a 2 YEAR COURSE in PA studies?! Why on Earth would you divert funds from a middle grade doctor (5 year medical degree + formal postgraduate training & exams) for a PA?! It makes no sense at all? This is callous & unsafe for patients & it’s terrifying to see how widespread this really is…

@Lamboozler It took me 6 attempts at part 1 mrcog, partly due to preparation. But mainly due to being a full-time trainee, negotiating stepping up to reg in a busy unit, solo mum to child with additional needs and dyslexic. Sometimes there is more to it than preparation!
