One big exception: there is no cash register. Everything is free for our shoppers. As we celebrate this monumental, once-in-a-lifetime event, let us also celebrate the places and people who make Green Bay what it is!

Today, we are honored to carry on the tradition started by Leo more than four decades ago: Providing free groceries, dignity and hope to families in need. All thanks to the incredible support of the Green Bay community!

If that doesn't tell you what this place - and its founder - means to Green Bay, I don't know what will. The biggest bridge in town is even named after Leo.

That's right. Curly Lambeau - who founded the Green Bay Packers - came in second place. Leo Frigo - who founded Paul's Pantry - was voted the most fascinating person in the history of Green Bay!

The pantry is currently serving an average of 250 FAMILIES PER DAY, 5 days/week. The average family receives 75-100 pounds of food! All 100% free. 100% from the community.

With support from local churches, businesses, individuals, and organizations - including the @packers - the pantry continued to grow.

Leo and a group of like-minded people started collecting food. He sought donations from local grocery stores - only to be turned away. So, Leo went into the dumpsters to salvage the still edible food. From those humble beginnings, @PaulsPantry was born.
