You've no clue how much people with reach can make big money if they are willing to do paid post supporting a person, party, company, narrative and so on. Other than this, companies pay a lot for both subtle and direct promotion. Having huge number of followers is worth crores of rupees per annum. Both ruling and opposition parties are willing to pay huge sums for promoting particular narratives. Not to boast. I've told you before. I've not posted even a single paid tweet so far. I've refused many opportunities to make crores of rupees every year. Now almost all agencies know that I've not put even a single paid tweet so far and so no longer even approach me. I may be wrong.
