Paragraph 135 of the judgment in the PL v Everton ‘…a financial penalty for a club that enjoys the support of a wealthy owner, is not a sufficient penalty’. Chelsea get a financially penalty. Of course they do. City will get same. Corrupt. @premierleague

Blaming asylum seekers for homelessness? What about the 720,000 empty homes in England, and the 1,627,450 second homes in England alone. Blaming asylum seekers for expensive food shops? What about the £3,100,000,000 profit Tesco made last year? Blaming asylum seekers for expensive energy bills? What about the £438,000,000,000 made by just 20 energy companies in profit? Blaming immigrants for not getting an NHS appointment? What about the 260,000+ migrant workers keeping the NHS going? And what about the 25% real term cut in NHS funding, think that could do it? Blaming people on welfare for a lack of money to fund the NHS? What about the £36,000,000,000 tax gap due to avoidance and evasion by the elite? It's time to realise it's not immigrants, asylum seekers or people on welfare causing you any harm, it's capitalism and the mega rich hoarding all the wealth.

Since WWII, the US has orchestrated or backed more than 100 regime-change operations in foreign countries. It has also acknowledged using military force in more than 70 countries during that time. As of 2023, the US had a total of 902 active military bases abroad. Why all this violence? The US government has mostly claimed they are spreading “freedom and democracy” around the world. But if that was the case, the US wouldn't be providing military assistance to more than half of the world’s dictatorships — which it does. US interventions abroad have primarily been about destroying and destabilising countries that do not subordinate themselves to US interests. The US is not a force for global peace and stability; it is a force for destruction and violence.

@GoodwinMJ A warning. All the worst people in the country are now shitting themselves. The mother of all campaigns is now going to be directed against the Green Party. It will be an unrelenting smear campaign. The Greens need to be ready for that - and so does everyone on the left.

Reform are blaming 'muslim sectarianism' for a white working class woman, and a white gay Jewish man, winning a stonking majority in a predominantly white Christian constituency. This is racist bile. The Greens ran an inclusive campaign. Every person matters.

Almost feel sorry for the haters who are trying to spin Muslims voting for a woman in a party led by a gay Jewish man is evidence of Islamist sectarianism 😂 In fact it’s evidence of genuine tolerance, rejection of superficial identity politics and ability to prioritise tackling common concerns of cost of living, protecting public services and rejecting war mongering. And the promotion of mutual respect and individual freedoms. The coming together of people is terrifying for the ruling elites.

If the full backs are considered to be that bad that they need to play centre halves in their position then they should have signed replacements in January. It’s that simple

✅ Tactical voting organisations ✅ Doorstep data ✅ Constituency polling It's clearer than ever that it's Green vs Reform in Gorton and Denton. A vote for Hannah Spencer is the only way to stop Reform's hate and make hope normal again.

This is absolutely outrageous from @bbcquestiontime! One week before a by-election which is a 2-horse race between Reform and the Greens.... and they only invite Reform on to the show? How can this possibly be regarded as "impartial"?

The worst part about soccer coverage in the USA is that like many countries, our pundits are ex-players. But unlike England or France’s ex-players, our ex-players are complete nobodies. Lalas, Wynalda, etc. Just complete nobodies who wouldn’t have been pros had they been born 15 years later. They’re all bitter about this and it comes out when they speak on the current team.

“This isn't the Grammys. You don't get to go up there and lecture the public on some political bullsh*t.” 😳 USMNT legend Eric Wynalda sides with Mauricio Pochettino and blasts Tim Weah for speaking up about the ticket prices in 2026 World Cup games. “Pochettino, he doesn’t give a sh*t. I loved what he did with Timothy Weah,” Wynalda began. “Again, Timothy Weah, dude, shut up!” “Nobody's evil, and it's not your place to talk about tickets to a World Cup. It's not. Okay?” “This isn't the Grammys. You don't get to go up there and lecture the public on some political bullsh*t.” “Nobody cares! Nobody cares.” “You put the jersey on, put your hand on your heart, and play the damn soccer game. That's what we care about. And that's what Mauricio Pochettino has locked in on.” “He is actually in a very similar way to 1994 with what Bora [Milutinović] did.” Weah recently spoke about ridiculously expensive ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup, which would make many fans miss out on attending. However, he’s drawn criticism from his own coach Pochettino, who said players should keep focus on the field. And he’s now drawn criticism from former player Wynalda. @Jimshelley I’m extremely concerned that Gaza has all but fallen off the news agenda. Israel’s killed 1000 Palestinians since the so-called ceasefire and banned 20 well respected humanitarian orgs. Meanwhile, there’s been flooding and high winds on parts of the territory.
