@OyoNews1 Makinde still not getting it. His influence finish soon. He probably doesn’t understand Oyo politics. No one gives a damn about him from May 29. His candidate would loose and if he won, he would betray him. He should sit this out.

Makinde Works On Plan B As Turaki opts For Wike's Alignment Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State is working on Plan B for the 2027 General Elections, as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Taminu Turaki SAN, opted for alignment with the PDP faction led by Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, under the guise of reconciliation. Makinde seems not perturbed as Turaki resolved to reconcile with the National Caretaker Working Committee, NCWC, created by Wike in the PDP. Turaki, on Wednesday, stated that the time has come to "sheath the sword", and engage in reconciliation with the NCWC faction led by Abdulrahman Mohammed. Makinde in recent political bargaining and overtures in the buildup to the 2027 General Elections, asserted, in Bauchi, while on a visit to Governor Bala Mohammed, that he would not leave the PDP. He declared never to work with the Mohammed NCWC sponsored by Wike. Makinde protested the subtle sales of PDP to the incumbent President. According to him, "working with the NCWC would amount to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu". At a meeting with PDP supporters in Oyo, Makinde insisted he will never negotiate or seek reconciliation with the fctional PDP NCWC. Makinde assured his loyalists that, while in PDP, if party cohesion fails, aspirants for elections will be supported for sponsorship on another party platform, which he said will be revealed to them on April 18.

Selling Tinubu is a very big task in northern Nigeria for those that will attempt it. Indications are showing that even those that will contest in Tinubus party shall follow him into the pit of defeat.

@BashirElRufai With what Nigerian architects are churning out these days I wouldn't trust a Nigerian firm to do city planning because a lot of them lack foresight and would probably just want to copy and paste something done in a city in a different terrain and weather conditions

I like Saraki very well and respect his opinion but this time I think he is not being fair to his supporters with ambition as he has kept them in limbo just for his 2031 plans, in APC they have no pathway and PDP is at dead end. On the issue of Southern turn let's be realistic by 2027 the south had ruled for 18 years while the north have done it for 10 years only, so that arguement is dead on arrival.

2027: I think it is only fair to allow the South to complete its 8 years. I was one of those that supported that PDP should zone presidency to the south in 2027. -Bukola Saraki, Former Kwara State Governor #PoliticsToday

PRESS RELEASE  OPL 245: Our Position Is Grounded in Public Records, Not Politics Our attention has been drawn to remarks credited to the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, suggesting that opposition voices on the OPL 245 matter are driven by self-interest rather than patriotism. This assertion is both misleading and an attempt to divert attention from the substantive legal and factual issues surrounding the so-called “resolution” of the OPL 245 dispute. For the avoidance of doubt, our position is firmly grounded in publicly available documents, including but not limited to the pre-action notice issued by Malabu Oil and Gas Limited to the relevant authorities, which raises serious legal objections to the purported settlement.  These documents clearly indicate that key stakeholders have disputed the legitimacy of the claimed resolution, stating unequivocally that they were neither consulted nor involved in any negotiation process, and that multiple suits on the asset remain pending before competent courts.  It is therefore not only disingenuous but deeply troubling for the Attorney-General to dismiss legitimate concerns—rooted in documented legal processes—as “self-interest.” In any constitutional democracy, raising questions based on verifiable records is not opposition—it is responsibility, which the ruling APC has clearly departed from. The issues at stake are too serious for political spin. OPL 245 is not a mere talking point; it is one of the most consequential oil assets in Nigeria, long entangled in complex litigation and international scrutiny.  What Nigerians deserve is transparency, adherence to due process, and respect for ongoing judicial proceedings—not premature declarations of victory or attempts to silence scrutiny with cheap and weak propaganda. We wish to state for the record that Atiku Abubakar does not have an interest in OPL 245, has never had an interest in the contentious OPL 245 and will never have an interest in OPL 245. We reiterate that our intervention is guided solely by the public interest and the need to uphold the rule of law. No amount of rhetoric can erase the existence of pending legal disputes or invalidate concerns already raised by affected parties through formal legal channels. If anything, the Attorney-General’s response underscores the very need for greater openness and accountability on this matter. Nigeria cannot build credibility—locally or internationally—by ignoring documented facts or dismissing legitimate questions. The rule of law must remain supreme. Meanwhile, the Attorney-General may do well to address the substantive issues raised in our earlier intervention instead of this resort to propaganda. Signed: Atiku Media Office Abuja March 26, 2026.

@dawisu @ADCNig When are you going to stop junketing around? When would you have peace you need? When would you know politics shouldn’t be a job. Just do something else. Discuss something else. Choose difficult but challenging lifestyle. Try it. It won’t kill you.

An HND holder, Bola Oyebamiji, is more experienced than Adeleke, who earned a bachelor’s degree abroad? A former Finance Commissioner, Oyebamiji, under whose watch Osun ran into debt, is more experienced than Adeleke, who performed well as a senator? The MD of NIWA, Bola Oyebamiji, whose supporters struggle to campaign with his achievements, is more experienced than Adeleke, who outperformed APC’s 12 years in less than four years as Governor? Boya, kẹ gbe Ero Arike wa 😂
Premium IDAN!🌟@OlamideAlawode_

If Adeleke can be Governor, anybody can be Governor. You cannot be supporting Ademola Adeleke and asking questions like this. Bola Oyebamiji is more qualified, more experienced and more knowledgeable than the present Governor. This isn’t a debatable fact.

What amazes me is how the APC keeps defending an incompetent candidate for a position everyone knows he isn’t qualified for, while hyping him up like some kind of messiah. It really needs to be examined, because I don’t see on what merit Oyebamiji appears qualified to be Governor

Seyi Makinde and initial gragra 😄 He first did diesel powered streetlights when he assumed office. But Umahi said this man is an electrician, why on earth would someone that studied Elect/Elect power streetlights with diesel when we have solar options? In short, the streetlights didn’t last up to a year. The generators have disappeared everywhere 😂

I have been asking this question for years and it’s always the same response. I am certain this handler would also agree this is a shame. Please, take a working trip to the LG, interview people, ask questions and see things yourself and see if this government or the one before him has done anything for us. We lack everything
