Off the streets. Our deputies seized a cache of drugs, including marijuana, cocaine, THC gummies and other items, as well as more than  $8,000 in cash, from a vehicle on TC Jester Blvd. Our investigation continues. Great work by all involved. #hounews

Update: A search is underway in Carriage Lane area for a suspect who was driving a stolen car, crashed it, and fled on foot. Ongoing situation. Info is preliminary.

Beware. These are dangerous. Deputies seized a bag of colorful pills in assorted shapes that are believed to be Ecstasy. A 32 yr old was charged w/ poss. of a controlled substance.  Never forget this stuff could be laced with fentanyl or mixed with meth. #hounews

Off the streets. A man previously sent to prison for robbery is charged for illegally having a firearm and fleeing deputies after hitting speeds over 120 mph on I-45. He got 15 yrs in 2015 for putting a gun to head of a pawnshop manager and stealing 23 guns. #hounews

A handgun and drugs were seized and a man charged for being a felon in possession of a firearm after a Jeep was stopped on Tidwell Rd. The man, previously convicted of burglary, claimed the gun was not his.  A bullet fell out of a pair of pants among his possessions. #hounews A

Slow Down. Arrive Alive. A Porsche driver was arrested after flying through several red lights at speeds of approx.95 mph on Hwy 249. He narrowly missed crashing into other cars, smelled of marijuana, and told deputies he was in a hurry to use the restroom.  #hounews

A 36 yr old is charged for strangling his girlfriend after she unplugged his Play Station and told him to leave. He evaded arrest,  but was captured hours later, still barefoot, and taken to jail. Domestic Violence Hotline 800-256-0551. You are not alone.

An 18 year old is charged for stomping another 18 year old in a bathroom on the 18th floor of the criminal courthouse in an attempt to steal $577 cash.  The defendant was at court for an agg. assault w/ a deadly wpn. charge. Unclear why victim was there. Investigation continues. #hounews
