Turning Plastic Waste into a School Bench ♻️ In Senegal, middle school students in the Health & Environment Club partnered with Volunteer Lindsey to form ecobricks from plastic waste and construct a bench for their schoolyard. They also installed a solar-powered well pump and irrigation system to help care for newly planted trees around the school. 👏🌱

What a fab-brew-lous display of grassroots work. ☕ Peace Corps Jamaica Volunteer Roshana shows how coffee picking and selling are done in her community. She's learned from the best: a farmer who she says is "an absolute master of his craft" with more than 50 years of experience growing coffee in Jamaica. ▶️ Ready for the toughest job you'll ever love? 👉 peacecorps.gov

“AmeriCorps taught me discipline, perseverance, follow-through, and resilience.” During AmeriCorps Week, we’re celebrating the Volunteers who wear the AmeriCorps 🅰️ and commit their time to strengthening partner organizations and communities across the United States. For Erika, that experience set her on a path for what came next. After two years with AmeriCorps working on community environmental issues, she pursued her graduate degree in international sustainability and went on to serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer and Peace Corps Response Volunteer in Guyana where she supported environmental education and community projects. Thank you for your service, Erika! 💪 Read Erika's full Volunteer Profile to learn how AmeriCorps helped launch a journey that continued through Peace Corps service. 🔗 bit.ly/3NlyUF8

I am Peace Corps. 🕊️ Four simple words encapsulate our participatory approach. Advancing the Peace Corps mission involves so much more than the work of Volunteers. Our global network is comprised of host families, counterparts, students, community members, partners, staff, and Volunteers—past, present, and future—who share the belief that service with others is key to intercultural understanding and progress. We invite you to discover how we bring people together to make a lasting impact. bit.ly/4qVwrPt #PeaceCorps #ToughestJob #PeaceCorps65

Congratulations to Returned Volunteer Quentin Powers on his recent success on Jeopardy! Quentin, a Volunteer in Timor-Leste from 2023–2025, racked up an impressive two-day winnings total of $20,798 on the game show during Peace Corps Week. . We’re not saying Peace Corps service prepares you for Jeopardy… but it certainly doesn’t hurt. 🕊️ . It’s always fun to see one of our nearly 250,000 RPCVs show up in unexpected places. . Returned Volunteers, be honest—what category would you dominate? . Photo credit: Jeopardy Productions, Inc.
