In May and June 2022, Peace Corps Tanzania trained a total of 160 Peer Educators as Grass Root Soccer (GRS) Coaches in regions Mbeya, Ruvuma, Iringa and Njombe. The trained Peer Educators are working with adolescent girls and boys in HIV prevention programming using GRS model.

In collaboration with TAMISEMI and the Ministry of Education, Peace Corps Tanzania is conducting Safe Schools Training in Moshi-Kilimanjaro. The training aims to build capacity of educators to prevent and to respond to School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV).

Part of the Global VAX initiative, Peace Corps Tanzania carried out COVID-19 vaccine sensitization sessions with 60 teachers attending a Safe School training in Moshi, Kilimanjaro. Some participants opted to get vaccinated with the mobile vaccination clinic made available on site
