President Biden has met with McCarthy but has stayed firm on the debt limit, using the bully pulpit and remaining tough on GOP efforts to holding the economy hostage. President Biden has made it clear that any meeting will need to be on the President’s terms. There is a very historic reason President Biden is digging in his heels and refusing to budge: Republicans don’t negotiate in good faith. According to Salon’s Heather Digby Parton, President Biden has learned from mistakes made by the Obama Administration. Under the Obama, Administration, including Biden, they learned that extremist GOP made a stink about the debt ceiling, but ultimately they capitulated and spared the country from financial crisis. What Biden will do is take the debt ceiling off the table (That ain’t happening Jack). He’ll instead listen to McCarthy and see if there is bipartisan ground on the budget instead. OUTRAGEOUS: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is accusing the Biden Administration of carrying out a coup against...itself. She made this nonsensical claim on Steve Bannon's podcast "War Room." In her deranged rant, Greene (who is somehow a member of the Homeland Security Committee) accused President Biden of weaponizing the FBI and Department of Justice without citing evidence. Biden, unlike his predecessor, has refrained from commenting on active DOJ cases, and US Attorney General Garland even appointed a special counsel as an additional layer of separation. Still Greene, who asked Trump for a pardon days after January 6th, never lets facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory, which is why she was one of the biggest pushers of the Big Lie about election fraud, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
