After being here for a few days I think there’s a chance the BYU Utah rivalry is the most heated rivalry we've got in the country

Not to be dramatic or anything but waking up at 5am and working out has literally changed my life. I work better, my anxiety is subsidized, I feel more fulfilled, I have more patience, it goes on! I believe it’s the best way to cope with working in this industry lol #cre #retwit

Collecting data and came across this comment "Growth factored since. 2020 COVID Data not used" we all know most CRE toss out 2020 numbers, but interesting to see it in official comments.

Help! I just discovered Reels on instagram, which is basically Tik Tok. And now I get how you can burn an hour of time in what appears to be seconds.

deep in the ARCGIS Experience Builder. Creating an in-house customizable web map for the agents and designers. Sending the beta version to my designer for feedback. #ESRI #GIS #retwit

@timothyhawkes Planning on doing the same. Not looking forward to the digging, but the end result will be worth it.

Lessons in ‘flippin’ the strip’: (1) it’s hella work; (2) requires many tools; (3) ‘taint cheap; (4) logistics: what to do w all this sod/dirt?; (5) would be way easier on the front end; (6) complicates sprinklers; and yet (7) worth doing anyway. #lifelessons #omitneedlessgrass

@UTSnowHydro I remember you talking about this during courses back in 2009-2011. How does the winter of '10-'11 compare to this season - particularly the dust impact?

@stephenlead I’ve had to do something similar when working closely with graphic designers and compare ESRI products to Adobe products.

I'm working with a group who don't yet understand the intricacies of Esri vs ArcGIS vs GIS in general, so I'm trying to use a familiar analogy to break it down. Any suggestions to improve this? #gischat

Want to be a GIS Analyst or Data Analyst? If this sounds like you, here are 3 skills I recommend learning to get your foot in the door: 1⃣ Learn Basic Statistics: When I say basic statistics, I am referring to having knowledge of central tendency such as mean median and mode. Having knowledge of different variances such as population and sample variance. Having knowledge of z-score, margin of error and the various charts such as histogram, pie, bar, linear, boxplots, contours and scatter. Have knowledge of Correlation and Causality. Knowledge of distributions such as the Normal Distribution. Also last but not least, basic understanding of probability. 2⃣ Learn About a Domain: Domain knowledge is important. Having domain knowledge helps you in a vast number of ways. If you do not have a little domain knowledge, it will be hard to perform analysis on your data. For instance, if you do not know the basic operation of a business and have no accounting experience, it might be hard to perform an audit. 3⃣ Learn Tools of the Trade: There are a vast number of tools. For instance, there is #QGIS, Arcgis Pro, Excel, #R-(RStudio), #Python-(Notebooks, #Spyder). Then there are databases such as #PostgreSQL and #MSSQL. To top that off, there are Asset Management systems such as Cartegraph, CityWorks, OpenGov and finance software such as SAP and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance. Let's not forget about the dashboard software out there in the wild such as R's #Shiny, Tableau, Microsoft #PowerBI and #Arcgis #Dashboards. #gischat #gis #analyst #gisanalyst #data #DataAnalytics #DataScience #engineering #gov #Analytics

check in with your colleagues. In #GIS, especially in #CRE, we are always using the same data/software. Having a quick call with everyone and discussing what we're using saves a lot of time in troubleshooting. #retwit

the office is at #ICSC. A great time to catch up on projects and update frequently used materials. What materials are used most often? We use our market aerials to show competition. Think grocery, big box, fitness, coffee, QSR, etc. #retwit #map #gis
