Evictions skyrocket as impact of government’s rent hike bill laid bare – @PearseDoherty “Today’s figures expose the reality of your housing policy - more evictions, higher rents, more insecurity, more homelessness. This crisis is not an accident.” sinnfein.ie/news/evictions…

Aaron Langan and Diarmuid O’Sullivan are two young boys from Donegal who urgently need and deserve access to life-changing treatment for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It is heartbreaking what their families are going through. No parent should be forced to watch their child suffer. The government must intervene now and ensure this drug is made available without further delay.

€127,000 for another bike shed under this government, while ordinary workers and families are told to tighten their belts and wait until next year’s budget for support. The priorities of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are laid bare once again. This cannot continue. Taxpayers’ money should be invested in the things that matter. People deserve a government that puts them first.

My message to the people of Ireland is clear: do not lose hope. We can, and we must, build an Ireland where ordinary people come first. We will end partition. We will build a real republic. Hold firm. Stay tight. We will deliver on that promise.

Housing and the cost of living, two of the greatest failures of Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil. I will always stand up for workers and families in Dublin Central who have been so let down by this government, put to the pin of their collar and whose voices have been ignored for far too long. You can send the strongest possible message to this government that you've had enough and they must take real action now. Vótáil Sinn Féin's Janice Boylan No. 1 on Friday May 22nd.

The government must listen to the people and bring forward an emergency cost of living package now. With billions sitting in surplus, there is no excuse for inaction. It is a political choice to leave people struggling and to refuse to use this money to make a real difference for workers and families. People are working hard, doing everything right, and still can’t keep up. They need leadership and they need real action to make life more affordable now. I am more determined than ever to fight your corner until you and your family get what you deserve.

💔 Very sad to hear of the passing of Moya Brennan. Moya gave so much to Ireland and its people. Known as the First Lady of Celtic music, her songs and stories shaped so many lives and will always be cherished. Moya was proud of her roots. A powerful ambassador for Ireland - she took our music, language and culture and shared it with the world. Thinking of her husband Tim, her two children Aisling and Paul, the wider family, her friends, and all those who knew and loved her. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

🔥 Watch this! Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael refuse to listen to people. Arrogant and incompetent. Half measures don’t cut it. We need to see the maximum reduction in fuel prices at the pumps. The people have no confidence in this useless government. They should back their bags and go.

This government clearly aren’t listening to the people. They haven’t taken the necessary action to make fuel affordable at the pumps. What they announced this evening fell far short. Working people left behind again. The solutions are there. They could have cut diesel by the maximum amount to prevent it being wiped out within days.  They could have cut petrol further.  They could have scrapped excise on home heating oil.

People have no confidence in this government. They have failed to take responsibility for a crisis that they allowed to spiral out of control. They are out of touch with the cost of living reality facing ordinary workers and families, with carers and disabled people.

They only moved because of public pressure - and even then, they fell short. The pressure must now intensify. We will bring forward our motion of no confidence in the government this week. They have to go.

People can’t wait any longer. We need real action from government to support workers, families, local businesses and those who keep Ireland moving every day. Rising fuel prices are putting huge pressure on people. Government needs to listen. Cut taxes on home heating oil, go further on petrol and diesel, and deliver real cost of living support. This can and should be done without further delay. I will keep fighting your corner until you and your family get what you deserve.

Time to recall the Dáil. Fuel prices remain far too high. People are under huge pressure, and the government has failed to do all it can to support workers and families. Sinn Féin has called on the government to reconvene the Dáil and take real action to get costs down at the pumps and make life more affordable. Cut taxes on home heating oil, go further on petrol and diesel, and deliver real cost of living support. This can and should be done without further delay. I will keep fighting for the action Ireland needs and for the support that you and your family deserve.

💚💛 From May 1st, Donegal-Dublin PSO flights will be restored. This is a huge relief for patients and families who rely on this vital service. Fair play to all those who fought tirelessly to force the government to overturn its decision and save these flights. The commitment and determination shown by Donegal Cancer Flights & Services who led the campaign ensured the people of Donegal were not ignored 👏🏻
