@IanBrennan_14 Not failing at his job. He failed in that ride, it was a shocker. I call them as I see them and how my horses that I've owned before have ran are of absolutely zero relevance to that She was retired about a year ago due to injury though and is back with her breeder and foal FYI.

David Nolan with a generational stinker on Akkadian Thunder there jesus. Not the most genuine of horses and needs delivering late, but Christ refusing to push the button until you're in a world of trouble is just incredibly stupid

@PearsonsPicks it’s called cheating mate.. watched the race back 2/3 times after i seen this tweet. I have no idea how jockeys get away with rides like that, he’s more looking to find trouble than finding a gap. @BHAStewards must have fell asleep tonight at doncaster. bad!

@josephswine Yes sorry was quoting the thoughts of the last World Cup mainly to show that we have gone sideways (or maybe even a step backwards), but that as a result of the football played, more that Tuchel's position is untenable due to that

I've been quite anti-Southgate in the sense that I think his tactics when going ahead v Italy and Croatia have cost us big time in the last two tournaments, but feel a bit differently about tonight. I think we were the much better team and where France converted their big (1/3)

They stepped it up a gear because they went 1-0 down and our tactics allowed them to. Fully agree that last 20 minutes they were better team and probably deserved to win. My point is that they were allowed to step it up a gear because we let them, and think we will just have to agree to disagree but they were absolute tosh for 70 minutes.

@PearsonsPicks I disagree. Argentina win that game all day long whatever happens. They stepped it up a gear and punished England

Tonight, I can't help but feel that we've done exactly as we did under Southgate. We were playing an incredibly dull, boring game out v Argentina, scored a goal and then our subs invited pressure. Argentina were creating absolutely nothing until we scored, and it may well have stayed that way had we not changed our shape. We sat back and invited pressure from a team we know have the tools (and if we're being honest, one specific player) to hurt us, and let him do his thing. Unforgivable not to learn from your mistakes, and personally think that Tuchel has to go as we just haven't progressed at all and just took a sideways step.

@DarranPearce The xG at the 70 minute mark was 0.44 v 0.19 in favour of England. I can't see any argument for Argentina offering anything before we made our defensive subs. The stats back up my eyes here

Argentina looked a different side from that in the first half and even they said that in commentary. It was like watching a different game. I think whatever happens Argentina win that and England just happened to score the one chance that came their way. I actually really enjoyed the first half even if there wasn’t a proper shot.

@DarranPearce The first half xG was 0.05 v 0.03, a truly terrible game. That Pickford had to make a regulation save from Alvarez is not evidence that they were "creating chances" - by the very same definition, England had created more chances by Gordon's goal
