@ideslisha zenos/zero..... is pretty tasty, to me,

zenos is a weird character because he's like the opposite of a fandom bicycle. i can't seriously pair him with anyone but the wol. i remember thinking before endwalker that i'd be into him and fandaniel as a ship but nope, they have something much more sinister going on there

trying to craft the funniest zenos ship possible and i think i'm leaning zenos/estinien. i think estinien could handle him. zenos/krile is a close second

@ideslisha i figure with s9 they may be wanting to dip their toes into scifi, which isnt outside the realm of final fantasy but it will certainly take away from xiv's charm, for me =_= i dont want modern or futuristic stuff...

@PecheDepoisson like i don't get why a series would change genres 10+ years later, it seems like they don't know their audience or something?? you'd think after shb's success they'd be locked in for the fantasy genre but 🤷‍♂️

not to be a debbie downer but it sucks for all the lore and characters i care most about to not be present in this current phase of xiv 😭 it feels kind of lonely

@ideslisha agree that the dark fantasy is what made xiv so good and compelling... if what we get is more cheap disneyfied shit like in dt.... ughhhhhh

the tone also feels starkly different than before and hearing yoship say he's tired of dark fantasy makes me worry because...that's kind of the foundation of what made xiv really good! if it's not fantasy then what is it 😭

@PecheDepoisson I think I see more explicit/implied tops (just based on what they say in their plates) and they tend to be male Hrothgar, on Crystal. that's hardly a scientific sample though lmao.

when i was just a wee roleplayer, i remember tops (read: semes) being a huge rarity to find bc everyone wanted to bottom LOL. is that still the case, i wonder? im curious what the top to bottom ratio in ffxiv rp is.. as well as who considers themselves a vers lolol
